Couzens Hall?

Hi! I'll be living in Couzens Hall next year. I know that is was recently renovated, but I was hoping someone could tell me more about it. What is it like? How are the rooms? How is the dining hall? How is location? Any additional info would be great too. Thanks in advance!

Room's are gorgeous, hardwood floors, temperature control in the rooms, beautiful spacious lounges. Location is decent, about 10-15minute walk to class (at least you're on central). No dining hall in Couzens but Hill dining center is above average.

Any other specific quesitons?

Thanks, KyleTwentyEleven. Which dorm is the dining center in? How's the wifi? Should I bring an ethernet cable? Are there sinks in the rooms?

Dining center is in MoJo. I'll be moving into Couzens this year because of HSSP and when I checked it out during orientation everything looked really amazing.

Dining center is in MoJo, wifi is more reliable then the ethernet, but at the beginning of the year there was no wifi so I'd recommend having an ethernet cable somewhere. No sinks in the rooms.

Anything else?

Just a few more- how's the room size? (I'm in a single.) Is it co-ed by floor or by hall? How are the bathrooms? Thanks.

AO, you can check out some pictures if you go to "University of Michigan Housing" on Facebook, click photos, then look at Couzens. I think they have like 43 pictures of it. The bathrooms are pretty insane from what I saw. Are you going to be a sophomore?

Tbeezer- Didn't know those photos were on Facebook. I checked them out and the dorm looks great! Thanks. I'll be a freshman.

I'm assuming you're in HSSP then?

Singles should range from 12x12 to 13x14 or something close to that, you'll get the exact details of your specific room later. I think male/female rooms can be right next to each other in couzens, but it's definitely not co-ed by floor. I'm pretty sure Markley is the only dorm that still has male or female only halls.

Bathrooms should be shown in the pictures on the Facebook page.

Hi there!

So here's some info about Couzens:
- I was in a double last year, our room dimensions were 12x12. One thing about the rooms (at least the ones on our floor that i saw) was that the closets didn't have doors. They were pretty roomy though.
- The bathrooms are really nicely tiled (you can see pictures of them on facebook)
- I never had any problems with the WiFi in the dorm.

Hope this helps!
