how will adcoms take into account the grade deflation practices of our colleges? or where could we put such information on our applications?

@philantropist: I have the same problem about grade deflation. My professor told me that he mentioned it in the recommendation letter.

If someone hasn't received acceptance by now, I would recommend that you should prepare to move on. If UMich is still your target, try fall 2013. Good luck!

@SHSurprise: What do you mean by "now"? It is not mid-Nov. yet. But I agree this week should be the last week for releasing decisions.

People were accepted until mid-November last year.

Also, hearing back quickly doesn't necessarily mean you're accepted.
