University of Michigan gearing up to launch multibillion fundraising campaign next fall

I'd like to nominate Larry Page as chairman!

Cool. I am curious to see what target the University will set for this campaign. It will obviously be over $4 billion, but how much more remains to be seen.

One billion for the renaming of the College of Engineering to the Page College of Engineering should get it off to a good start. :-)

Pretty steep. Ross only paid $100M.

What does the university have planned for the money? I can't speak for everyone else, but if I was a potential donor, I would never donate money to the university just so they could have more money. The article doesn't mention any plan.

The big wigs are still fleshing out the details of the plan, but the article did stress that this campaign will be less about building (last campaign funded the building of 22 structures) and more about sustainability and financial aid funding. We'll know more soon.

Well the COE has four times as many students so maybe 400 million will do it. ;-)
