| The economic system is SCREWED (sorry for the language)!
It's debatable whether or not I'll get a job this summer..it doesn't even pay for me to drive to Greenville...I'm losing out on leadership potential, the ability to function as a team, and money.
The economic system needs to change or more people are going to leave. I myself am not even thinking about going to college in this state because there's NOTHING here anymore! |

| Charlotte, among elite universities, Michigan's tuition is one of the lowest. It is expensive of course, but consider what you are getting. |

| Hmm... Not really, U Mich is a STATE sponsored University, which means it's pretty stingy when it comes to scholarships. Yet, it's tuition is still damn high.
So, if the tuition is as high as some of the ivies', but their money devoted to scholarships is far lower, to me the cost is outrageous because I can't pay 50K a year on my own. |

| Charlotte, Michigan is stingy relatively speaking. I agree with you that for OOS students, Michigan can be expensive, especially for those who's demonstrated need is not met. |

| Hey Alexandre, iv been trying to do research on less known Michigan student traditions and customs, but I cant seem to find much besides the usual puma folklore, Block M, the Rock, etc. Do you think you could let me know of any traditions that aren't as well known? Thanks a lot! |

| Sleepyz, it is a common misconception that a university is "good" or "bad" at "Premed". Premed is not a major and a university does not really help or hurt a student's chances of getting into a medical school. Medical school is a graduate field of study and students intending to attend Medical school must first earn an undergraduate degree in whatever field of study. All "Premed" means is that you intend to apply to medical school. If that's the case, you just need to take a few science classes. You can do that at any university.
In terms of medical school placement, students who graduate from Michigan with a 3.6+ GPA and a 30+ MCAT have a 90% chance of getting into medical school. Students who graduate from Michigan with a 3.2-3.59 GPA and a 25-29 MCAT have a 75% chance of getting into Medical school. That's pretty standard accross top universities. |
