| I think its somewhere on their website...personally i think its rediculous that they ask out of staters to fly in (with their parents) and then PAY to stay at the dorms, but hey GO BLUE.
Where in NY are you from? I am from upstate. |

| lol...jazzman, welcome to the university of michigan.
Your parents are not required to come, but I highly recommend that they do. The more they know, the less of a pain in the ass they'll be for you when you start in the fall.

| I live in nyc. The borough of Brooklyn specifically. What city are you from, Jazzman?
I think I might go sometime in late June, like the late teens or something like that.
Will register later. (the procrastinators mantra...LOL) |

| You should be able to register. Go to wolverineaccess.umich.edu and it should be under Undergraduate Orientation. Once you click on that, you'll see a think that says "register for orientation">

| OHHHHHHHHHH!!!....yeah...intl' orientation isn't until late...its like right before classes start so you don't have to go back and forth. Intl' Orientation is 8/25-8/29. I believe they let you move in right after.

| Yeah...you should all know that while orientation runs all summer, certain times are or are not available to certain students depending on what academic unit they are in. For example, art students cannot do the june 7th,11th or 12th orientations. They do that to make sure that an even number of 1st years go through the program.

| Quick question:
If I am scheduled for orientation on June 25-27, but have more important issues (class, for example) to attend to, is it possible to talk to someone at orientation and request that I finish all my academic advising, scheduling, etc. on the first day? Has anyone ever heard of this being done? |

| It could probably be done. Never heard of it happening though. Since there will be previous groups (assuming there is like a 24th-26th group) scheduling that day, you could probably just do it with them if you ask the right people. |

| That will actually probably be rather difficult to do. You should try to schedule a different orientation or clear your conflicts. If not possible, email the Office of New Student Programs with your details. |
