Eng Computer Requirement?

Hey --

anyone aware if there is any particular requirement as far as computer specifications for UM or the College of Engineering? Laptop? Tablet?


Couldn't really find anything on their website :-/

there is no requirement, but I cant see anyone surviving without one, unless you want to go to the computer lab every time you have online homework.

As the previous poster said, there is no requirement. UM is very good at providing a wide range of computers to its users. Most residential computer labs have both Windows and Mac computers. In engineering, CAEN computers dual boot windows and linux. Matlab, which you will be using in engineering 101 and possibly future courses, is native to linux, windows, and OSX
