chances

I didn't apply here, but I'm just curious what my chances would've been:
1950 SAT
700,720 SAT 2
3.9 GPA
very competitive courseload
out-of-state

how hard is it to get in after 2yrs? (transfer)

This is a noob question but...are transfer students (from CC or elsewhere) suppose to take their SATs again, even if they took it during high school?

I applied this year (still haven't heard) and my stats are nearly identical except I didn't take SAT 2s at all; I am, however, an IB student with a tough course load. UMich is not my number one, for what it's worth. With a description of your ECs, I could make a more holistic judgment; but numbers-wise, your a top candidate (your SAT I is fine, despite what some may say around here).

For out of state, dmission, Michigan would probably have been a reach this year.

If you want to transfer, take serious classes in college and maintain a 3.5+ GPA. For a more realistic chance, you really should aim for a 3.7+ GPA.

Transfers are not supposed to take SATs/ACTs again. I seem to recall NYU wanting me to do it though for some reason and me not liking their decision.

definitely would have been a reach for out of state. for in state, i think it still would have been a match/reach but it's hard to say without knowing your extracurriculars and what your essay would have been like.
