| Please Help Me!! Hello,
I live in NJ first and I want to go to U Mich Ann Arbor SOOOO much!
Since U Mich have rolling admission, I want to make myself pretty sure to get into U Mich.
Can you guys tell me what to do to get into U Mich?
I am thinking of going to apply to the College of Pharmacy
Junior
GPA - 3.6 in UM GPA
I got a surgery in my Freshman year, so my GPA in my freshman grade is very low.
I didn't take the SATs yet.
Asian who live in the United States about 7 years.
Can you guys help me what to do?
Thank you very much!! |

| Well, if that GPA includes your freshman year grades, you'll need to recompute. U-M GPA is just academic courses from sophomore and junior years. Best advice...apply as early as possible! |

| Oh Thx, my GPA in sophomore year is 3.7 and I have lke 4.03 right now.
The thing about me, sophomore year, I coudlnt take any honor classes, because my guidance thought I coudlnt catch up bc I missed whole 4th quarter grades.
I am very stressed bc of this. |

| Perhaps you can focus an essay on how you overcame this challenge.
Also, apply EARLY -- like in September. There seems to be quite a bit of evidence in these CC threads that early applicants generally had much greater success in getting in. |

| You are giving us your weighed GPA. Michigan unweighs GPA. What is your unweighed GPA? |

| Alright, so you have a 3.7 unweighed GPA. Did you take many challenging classes? Any APs? Your SAT/ACT are going to have to be on the high end (2100+/32+) and your application will have to be completed as early as possible (before October 1) if you want to maximize your chances. |

| No, soph year, I coudln't because my guidance thought I should take CP classes to catch up but now I am taking 3 honor classes and next year I am taking 2 AP classes and all honors.
Thank you.
Are there any difference in going to PhamD and other colleges?
Thank you again |

| sheilagh,
I may have seen your similar post on a different thread. Any chance that your s was impacted by when he applied, considering the effect of rolling admissions in decreasing the number of available spots and the increased number of highly qualified applicants submitting applications at the last moment? |
