| I e-mailed one of the directors today and this is there response to me asking will they be using the waitlist this year.
"We don’t really make a formal announcement as to whether we’ll be accepting students off of the waitlist or not. Your best bet is to make other educational plans for the fall, and you’ll hear from us one way or the other by mid to end of June."
So in other words...they may not use it...but who knows?!?!? |

| Wow... His tone is so pessimistic. This may be the end for those of us wait listed there.
Northwestern2012, what does your application look like just out of curiosity? (SAT, ECs, etc...) |

| there's still a chance, he has to say that because you must make other plans, i'd imagine if you emailed other schools they would advise you to do the same. |

| To be honest with you uxnaitoahz, I am actually not sure how I was waitlist.....and not flat out rejected! Maybe because I'm from an underrepresented state or city, or minority group (I'm Black), but I was pretty shocked and excited to have been waitlisted.

Teacher Rec was ok

| They DO look at every application. Three people read it.
They already took a few people off the engineering waitlist. They did this before May 1.
No one can tell you whether or not U-M will be going back to their waitlist--they are waiting for more information. The WL invitation gives people until mid-may to even say whether they want to be on the WL. If there is going to be WL action, it will most likely be after that deadline. |

| This is a very good point. The Michigan wait list deadline is like May 15th. So, there may still be a very good chance that they will use it. |
