Does Michigan really look the way it looks in Vmerse?

Has anyone taken that virtual tour? It's fun, but I'd like to know if that is a good representation of the actual campus.

Overall, it's a very good representation of campus. The one big misleading thing is that they don't always have complete backgrounds, so if you look past where you can't walk in some areas, you just see a bunch of trees, when there's actually stuff there. I just thought that gave the impression that central campus was a lot more isolated/rural than it actually is. The dorm rooms in West Quad seemed a little bit bigger than they actually are (at least the nook to the right of the door is massive compared to how big it actually is).

I there are no killer sized agressive squirrels pictured on Vmerse, then it is NOT realistic.

All true about the squirrels!

I was quite shocked at the squirrels when we visited, even though I had read about them on this forum earlier. No exaggeration.

I think vmerse does a great job with the buildings--very accurate. At least the ones I was in.

U-M specifically asked that squirrels be included in the VMerse. They may not be as big as in real life--after all, we don't want to scare anyone from coming.

It's fairly accurate. I was surprised to see how accurately the "Fish Bowl" is represented.

It's a computer lab in the Union which is surrounded by glass walls.

Sorry about that, not sure why I confused the two. I stand corrected.
