test scores way too low for OOS. you'll have a good chance if you could get in the 2050-2150 region

the gpa is good, and your ecs/awards seem interesting. Your OOS residency/standardized test scores will probably bring you down though. I would say slight reach for michigan. Try hard on those essays, apply early, and you have a great chance.
Also: what school are you applying to? From what I make out of your interests, it seems like LSA.
As for your other schools, i would say in at uofi-chicago, madison, and purdue. Match at drake. slight reach for wesleyan and unc. How come your not applying to urbana champagne?

Well, I would like to, but I chose UIC for its Pharmacy program. Even though UIC isn't the best of schools, it's either top 5 or top ten for pharmacy. Kinda stinks though cause I'll only be 20 minutes from home.
*sigh* I hate oos.

If you manage to raise your ACT to 28, you should apply to UIC GPPA pharmacy program.

lisalisa: check out the accepted student threads from last year EA at your schools....I don't think your standardized tests will hurt you as much as you think; GPA is much more important for the schools on your list......(except for Wesleyen and UNC).....
apply early to UMich....you should be fine....

Prepare well for the SAT, raise each section by roughly 100 points and you should be in very good shape.

OOS = Out of State
Also, there is no early action for UMich, they accept apps on a rolling basis. With that said, there is probably some utility in getting your app in relatively early as there are more spots available and a much smaller pool of applicants.
I'd chance you but I am but a mere rising senior myself, so it's not like I have some fantastic insights that you can't obtain through a few solid minutes of research.
