i live in MA, Im Asian. (have US-citizenship)
GPA: mostly As few Bs. about 3.5~3.7 UW 4.1 Weighted
i go to pretty competitive public school.

SATs: 800 Math, 480 CR, 550 Writing. (yea,, i need to take this again, and im getting about 600 on CR, and 650~700 on Writing on diagnostics)

SATII: Math 2c: 800


AP Tests
Calculus BC / AB subscore 5/5
Computer Science AB Plan on Taking
Latin: Vergil Plan on Taking


The Extras

School Math Team (9,10,11,12) 11 = co-captain 12= captain
Purple comet math team (11, 12) 11, 12= captain
Western MA state math team (=ARML) (10, 11, 12)
Track and Field (9,10,11,12)
Indoor Track (10, 11, 12)
AMC (9,10,11,12)
AIME (9, 11,12)
Tutored kids at Kumon
Worked in company which publishes English textbooks in Korea (but worked only 30 hours)

9th grade : Geometry award (given to best geometry student of the year) , Coach's award (Track and Field), Some award with AMC stuff and Math team (school winner and stuff),National Latin exam (Cum Laude)
10th grade : Captain's recognition(Indoor Track), some math team stuff, National Latin exam (silver)
11th grade : Captain's recognition (Indoor track), some math team stuff, National Latin exam (bronze)
... still going on.

P.S. I took ESL on freshman year, b/c i came America from korea in my freshman year, and that's why my class rank isn't that high. In senior year, i will be taking Honors English.


What do you think the chance of getting into LSA ?

what is your umich gpa? and you need to retake the sat asap.

As it stands, I would say slight reach. Improve your verbal sections of the SAT and I would say match. Clearly, you are very strong in Math, so that will help you a great deal, particularly if you are applying to the CoE.

it would be great if u can tell me how to calculate umich gpa and yes, im retaking SATs on october.

from informations ive got -> umich only consider English, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Foreign Language grades for GPA calculation. also, they don't care about +/-, nor honors/AP when calculating GPA.if this is true, my umich GPA is 3.6

yup, 3.6... (( if i had 0.05 point in my english final average and 0.13 point in my US history final average,,,, i would have 3.8 .. (
