Well, you usually want to wait at least two weeks before trying to hear back from applications since employers usually try to pile applicants together to pick the best ones to interview before choosing people to hire. Simply put, it takes a while to hear back. Just continue to apply to job positions and you might hear back from one of them sooner or later.
