the u-mich website says that i have to send in all additional materials with my full legal name and UM ID#. on my app., i sent in my resume along with the app. under the additional docs. part of the app. but i didn't put my UM ID# nor did i put my full legal name. is this going to have a big impact on my admissions decision?

Yes. You are worrying too much. They want your full name on the attachment because it helps them keep it with the rest of your application.
