difference between an SGUS Master's and a normal Master's?

So does anyone here know, if I decided to do an SGUS Master's in BME, where I can get it in 1 year, is that different from a normal 2 year Master's? Do they both show up as an M.S. degree, or will the SGUS one show up differently? Is the normal 2 year one better than the SGUS one?

They are both the same in merit (same thing shows up) but a 2 years masters program might be a bit more of a learning experience.

Are the masters usually 2 years? They're only 30 credits. If you're a full time student shouldn't it just be one year?
