OOS: How do I look for admissions? What do I need to do???

Hey everyone! Ill be a senior in hs this year and the more I tour and look into colleges, the more I want to attend UNC!! I'm from the Durham area originally but moved to the midwest. Can you chance me! And tell me what I can do to raise my chances of being accepted! The thing pulling me down most I feel are my EC's. I'm a big athlete so I've never really given a lot of time to clubs or organizations. Well here ya go..

Me:

male
white
OOS (Midwest)
attend higher level state public school

Grades:

GPA: 3.92 (unweighted)
ACT: 30, English: 33, Math: 30, thinking about retaking maybe getting up to 32
SAT: haven't taken, should I?? or is just ACT fine
Class Rank: dont exactly know wanna say around 20/400

Classes: (school doesnt have honors classes, so ill just include AP, accelerated courses, and foreign language)

Junior:

AP Language and Composition
AP Government
Accelerated Precalc
German 4
Anatomy and Physiology

Senior:

AP Literature
AP Psychology
AP Macroeconomics
AP Calculus AB
German 5

ECs (oh boy..):

Tennis, Varsity 4 yrs (captain 2 yrs) (academic all confererence, 4 time state qualifier, 2nd team all state) idk if that matter!?
Basketball 2 yrs
Soccer, Varsity 1 yr (captain 1 yr)

NHS 3 yrs - NHS President 1 yr
Student Council - 1 yr
20+ hours volunteer work at local shelter (..weak i know)

That's about it. Thanks for all the help anyone can give me! I know the OOS admissions process is very difficult and I really want to get accepted!! I will start filling out apps coming up soon. My main questions are 1) Do I need to/ should I take SAT? 2) How is my class rigor? 3) How can I boost my ECs?
