UNC requires SAT I and SAT IIs OR ACT with writing. If I take the ACT, should I submit SAT II scores or if the ACT sections coversthe subject areas and there is no need for subject tests?
UNC requests SAT II's for placement, specifically SAT II Math II. However, the highest you can place in with the SAT II MATH II of even a perfect score is Calculus I. They do this because the AP scores are generally not in yet for orientation when freshmen are register. One of my D's took the sat II and one did not. It really did not seem to matter b/c they both used AP for credits and placement.
YOu may should call the admissions office and ask what they prefer but i thought you had to have SAT I and ACT if you choose w/writing....but I did not recall ACT only.
You can exempt scores with the SAT I scores...with credit. My d got credits for some english classes and was able to exempt a math class...and exempted two more math classes with credit with the AP cal BC.
Call the Admissions office and get some specific direction. They are very helpful.
