| I know what you mean Max. I was rejected from 3/4 colleges coming out of high school and the memories are starting to creep back in. Not a good feeling at all.
However, I'm hoping for a different end result and praying that the two years at a CC will pay off. |

| I highly doubt anyone has any idea at this point in time. I personally do not believe a "diversity team" email is a sign of acceptance. If I read correctly, some have received emails from this group since as early as December.
As for tomorrow, I'm hoping they do go ahead and release it, but nothing is for sure. I'm pretty tense about this whole situation so I know for a fact I'll be sitting here at 4 PM hoping they release their decisions so I can get on with life LOL. |

| Max are you serious dude? The guy said that he was getting these emails since December. Why are you stressing out over nothing?
I'm reading this entire thread and man just to be placed in a situation where we might even have the chance to be accepted to the University of North Carolina means that we are far and above many other individuals in this country and the rest of the world.
If you or anyone else gets into UNC, well that is amazing, but if you don't, it's absolutly fine. Boundaries and obstacles are just filters to really identify those who want it and how badly you want it (Whatever that 'it' is). If you keep trying, it will work out. And by trying I mean not trying to gain acceptance to a university, but trying to follow whatever you want to pursue at UNC or any school. A school rejection will never stop you from following your passions.
You know, throughout this whole process I think how much of this will really matter in five or ten years from now. If you think about it, did all the stress you put yourself through in middle school have any importance on who and where you are today? Not really.
Life is what you make of it and if someone has a passion or a want, a school is not going to be the factor to determine how far and to what affect you follow through with it, it's what you, yourself, does that will determine it.
Sorry thats just my two cents. |

I'm really not relying on that email...it was just a coincidence. I'm confident that it has no effect. They're may be other reasons we received that email, including that I'm 25 and not the standard age for a typical student...there could be a million reasons. I received them months ago...when my application was not in a committe, which means it would have no effect on admitted students. I didn't mean to worry you. |

| Max,
I speak for many, if not most, transfer applicants in suggesting that most of us have not received a single email other than possibly our confirmation of application submission or financial aid or campus tour offers. I can only add this: try and relax, my friend, everything will be known in time--and this will quite possibly be tomorrow. Plus, to add, I am of multinational descent and have plenty of cultural diversity, and I myself have not received this email; yet I'm a decently qualified candidate, so I promise that these emails are insignificant to your admissions candidacy. Hope you have a great night! (get some sleep and don't stress). |

| I did miss the memo I guess. I'm glad I was the butt of two pages worth of this thread. I got two threatening emails about my HS transcript not being sent. They said that if my application wasn't complete by April 11th, that they would withdraw my application. It says on the website the 21st, but I will take you guys' word for it. So 15 hours 33 minutes to go. Great. |

| this may be a really stupid question, but i just noticed this. under status it says class: freshman. shouldn't it say sophomore, as I am transfering in as a soph, or is it just stating what class I am currently? What does it say for you guys |

| Is it just me or is the last changed date missing now? I thought that was on there before. (UNC Homepage, not app central) |

| My "last updated" date has been gone for about a month now. I think they removed that awhile ago. All I have on my application is "Date Created." |

| my "last changed" date has been gone for over a month. also, i was switched from junior status to sophomore status about 3 weeks ago. I am transferring in 67 hours... so that is a little strange! |
