| Cool. I figured it would work like that. Not getting my hopes up or anything, but I'm very, very anxious to just get some definitive word from them either way. I'm one of those people who is used to being able to apply early decision lol I hate being stuck in limbo so late in the year!!!! |

| Yeah, you're not the only one. I'm actually hearing back from three schools total within that 1-2 week period. It's going to be pretty hectic! |

| Yep, Chicago and Wustl shortly after. Although I've kind of decided already that unless WUSTL gives me an awesome fin. aid package(not very likely) or I get accepted to Chicago(also unlikely haha), I'm probably going to UNC. Maybe Davidson but I won't know until May about that one. |

| I just thoroughly researched last years transfer thread, and here are some things that I was able to conclude:
-decisions were announced on Thursday, April 12th at 4pm, via your UNC homepage thing. at that point, everyone had something at the top of the page that read "Important updates just for you"
-at least two days before April 12th, a "Student" tab showed up on accepted student's page, next to the existing "My UNC" tab that everyone has.
-at least two days before April 12th, accepted people were able to create an Onyen account, while not accepted people were not able to.
-there were some icons at the top of the page that changed occasionally. the only one that appeared to be indicative of acceptance was if you had the housing one (laptop, address, health, financial aid, didn't mean anything)
-some of the accepted people reported being able to find themselves in the UNC directory for a bit, but then having their name removed. i'm not really confident about this one.
-having a PID (i don't even know what that is) did not indicate anything
remember, those are things that happened last year. this year is completely new, and those may have been flaws in the system that have now been fixed. it is just what i was able to conclude off of tracking what the people were posting the days beforehand, and then which ones got in and which ones didn't. obviously, since that is an extremely unofficial analysis, i wouldn't get too excited or too bummed either way. good luck to you all! |

| Wow, thanks a lot for compiling all of that!
And yes, I got all excited about the PID thing a few days ago and then found out it was meaningless. It's basically a personal ID number that you can access here PID Office Home Page with your social security number and birth date. It says on that site that people usually get issued a PID as part of the application and financial aid process, which bummed me out because I thought I was onto something when it told me I had one.
But at least now this tells us a little more about what the updates on the My UNC section might look like. Thanks again. Good info! |

| ^the average accepted transfer GPA is a 3.4, and yours is higher than that so I think you have a good shot...or at least I hope so because your stats are similar to mine. |
