I'm taking Comm 140 now, which is about media criticism. I like it and find it pretty easy.

media studies and production is actually one of my majors (my other one is journalism-visual communication), and although im a freshman i must say ive been lucky enough to take 3 comm classes (they fill up quickly). last semester i took comm659, which was a "specialty topic" that focuses on a really specific part of media. the topic of 659 changes every semester i believe, and last semester it was east asian cinema, which is something i LOVE. the class was fabulous and not too difficult despite being a high-level course. i analyzed films in ways i havent considered before, so yeah it was a great class.
this semester im taking comm140 and comm270, and as heathergee said, 140 is pretty easy. Comm270, which is rhetorical studies, is also pretty easy so far, but i have a really chill prof. the topic itself is actually kind of confusing haha but not too bad. overall, the profs in the comm dept so far have been great!
