| Accepted Transfer Thread Hey everyone! Congratulations!
I was just wondering if anyone had gotten financial aid awards yet. On Applicant Central, I've got two new buttons-- they mysterious Housing and Immunization buttons from years prior-- but still no financial aid.
Can anyone make an Onyen? No such luck there either. |

| I'm fairly sure you have to submit all your deposits and what not before you can make an onyen this year. I have no response on FA either, but that is expected since I never bothered to turn in the CCS profile. |

| No fin aid yet, but I turned in my CCS profile kinda late. I have an Onyen from taking summer classes, so I can't help there. Anybody planning on living on campus? According to the housing app, our only options are Hinton James, Craige, Ehringhaus and Odum or Ram village. |

| I am definitely planning on living on campus. I saw that on the housing application! That seems like our options are kind of limited... |

| I'll be living on campus. If you guys are looking for roommates try making a profile on the roommate finder. There is a link on it on the housing home page. (housing.unc.edu) |

| I'm talking to admissions about how hard it is to get in to the business school. What are you guys' majors? |

| I got in with economics, I plan on pairing that up with finance so I'll be applying to Kenan as well after the first semester. If you go on the kenan site there is quite a bit of information particularly for transfer students and their admission process. That should help you out a bit Sach. |

| Dude, I've done all that stuff. I just want to make sure you know because I don't know if that information is accurate. It's kind of vague. An important part of my decision [to attend] is my likelihood of getting into KF. Although at this point, it seems like UNC would be a much of bargain. I want to major in Finance too...They say most transfer potentially might have to stay an extra semester in KF to complete it. I think I'm going to minor in Math. |

| I got in as a Journalism/English Lit double major.
Anybody know when we will be able to make onyens? I paid my enrollment deposit online today as soon as I found out I was in and I'm living off campus so they don't need a housing deposit for me. Still can't make an onyen though... |

| I don't really know how that site can be vague for you. They get to the point pretty well. Maybe you're just not reading what I am reading.
The reason for why they believe most transfer students will take an additional semester is because of this, "We admit most of the class in the fall, but we have 30 spaces for spring admission." From what I understand, if your core classes (Statistics, Calculus I and II, Managerial and Financial accounting, Macro and Micro Economics) are strong you will have a strong case for KF. Keep in mind though, in addition to academics they look at a couple other factors as well.
But in your case, you probably are right. You should call them up because if getting into KF is one of your deciding factors then you might want to hear the facts from a person in the advising department. If an extra semester really becomes a deterring factor then UNC might not be the best situation for you. If you don't mind, let me know what they tell you when you call them up. |

| Yeah, I mean I have all the pre-requisites done. I meant in terms of transfer students they say the average GPA is a 3.5. I want to make sure that's the case or whatever. It could be students transferring into KF from UNC and elsewhere. I don't know. That's what's kind of vague. May be I'm freaking out about nothing. I feel good about my current extracurriculars as well. The extra semester is definitely NOT a problem. I think it would still be cheaper than my current school. What is important is that I get into KF. If I don't, I don't know what.
I'll probably finish off the major in Econ anyway because I'd only need a couple courses and take classes in math and programming or whatever. We'll see. I'll definitely let you know what they tell me. |

| I got in with an English major. I am thinking about possibly transferring into the Journalism school but I am not completely sold on that yet. Good luck to everyone trying for KF! |

| I got in with a history major but I actually want to double major in Russian as well but couldn't declare double major at that point.
Do I wait to get settled in before doing so or should I try to declare it now? |
