Waitlist Changes? - Page 2

She told me that she found out through the mail. She got a letter.

However, when I found out that I got accepted to UNC early admission, they sent me a letter through my UNC homepage then the next day (or maybe same..day?) they sent me a letter through the mail with just more information.

I'm assuming that maybe they also notified my friend through the UNC homepage as well but she just found out first through the mail and failed to check unc's website..? Because generally they would send it both ways, I would assume.

Although I was one of the ones admitted during round 1, I will state that UNC's admissions process is always complex and tortuous; therefore don't panic because he or she got a letter and you didn't. UNC takes their time--often in large doses--in selecting and sending information. So, don't panic. Good luck to everyone. I understand how stressful and difficult this is. In fact, I was one of the last ones to receive admission: 3 days after the "official release date," and three weeks after almost everyone else received theirs. There are still plenty of spots in classes, so nothing is lost.

Hate to be a pest, but Astranger do you know many specifics about your friends statistics. Test scores and such??

Did anyone else get a link on the homepage asking them to confirm their email address? Has anyone actia;;u received an email update of some kind?

i called UNC and they said they have not started reviewing applications yet. I hate how they lie on important issues like this.

Kazer---Did your UNC homepage have a link at the top asking you to confirm email address? I have no idea what that would mean on the merits---could go either way----just wondered---

I took my daughter to work an hour ago and UNC called while we were out---surely they wouldn't call to say "no" right?

congratulations heritageballer. We are tarheels now!!!! and jimmyduck I think your D is accepted too. They don't call unless there is something missing or you have been accepted.

I will crazy until I hear back---I don't want to get her hopes up but I think they wouldn't call at this point for any other reason. Now, the fun begins in whether to go with the option she settled for or undo it all for this!!! WOW
