UNC called me today and left a message telling me to call them back to "get an update on my waiting list status" (or something along those lines). Is it safe to assume that I am off the waitlist and that UNC is offering me a spot?

I mean, they don't call everyone, right? And I def don't have anything "missing" in my file... I just checked UNC's page online and I don't see anything new.

hotasice i am positive you are off the waitlist according to the message. The online page is not updated and they don't have the time to call every waitlist student to tell them their status unless he/she got off the waitlist.

kool....congratz all who got in thru waitlist...I havent heard from them yet....and from al the forums...atleast 30 ppl have heard from them...so i assume im not getting in ...lol...

From UNC website:

Beginning on May 7, Carolina offered admission to 238 first-year candidates who had previously accepted a place on the waiting list. Admitted students--who were notified by telephone and will begin receiving letters by mail early next week--will have until May 23 to accept or decline their admission. Please note that neither these decisions nor the reply form will be available online. We expect to resolve the waiting list completely no later than June 30.

leetxy: they have finished all the calls for now. The only way you would now get called is if someone rejects their waitlist admission.

did anyone get their official acceptance letters today?? I didn't, and I'm hoping I can get it tomorrow so I can go ahead and send in the money for housing, enrollment, orientation etc..
