| DS finally decided on UNC :-) -- Roommate Help Needed!
Hey folks!
We have been AWOL for 3 weeks while our DS#2 decided on a school. Hubby and DS#1 (a junior at Carolina) and I are thrilled that UNC won out over UVA and Wash U! We all think that Carolina's a great fit for DS#2 in every way, that he's going to have a fantastic time, and that the one-year overlap with his brother is going to be a wonderful thing for them. They're good buddies and should have a lot of fun "sharing" their school! And hubby and I are so excited to have four more years to visit CH -- one of our favorite towns ANYWHERE.
So now we're in the throes of finding a roommate. Has anybody else had trouble with the UNC Roommate Finder's search engine not working very well? E.g., he searches for "male" and gets men and women; he searches for "Atlanta" and gets random names that don't mention Atlanta at all in their profiles. Is there a secret to getting this thing to work, because it's getting real tedious to plow thru 1500 profiles. :-)
Any other advice on roommate searching? He's hooked into the Facebook UNC Class of 2012 group and has sent out a few feelers to guys, but it seems to be slow going.
