Jobs for Freshmen

I did not qualify for a Federal Work Study but am interested in getting a job on campus as a freshman. I was just wondering where I can search and apply for non-work study jobs, what types there are (i.e any grocery shops, restaurants, assistants), what the pay generally is, and how the hours are.

Thanks

You probably won't want a job first semester. You can work in stores on Franklin street or several of the restaurants there. You can work at the student stores on campus, pay is not great but they work with your schedule really well

I'd say hold off on a job first semester if you can. If you work on campus for stuff like tutoring in the math department, or working in the libraries, or one of the gyms, you usually need to sign up a semester in advance. Otherwise there is plenty of stuff on franklin. Just don't wait long.
