Football tickets

I was planning on purchasing football tickets for Family weekend in October and then saw they were $50 apiece. I am flying down from NJ, renting a car, getting a hotel room - paying $50 for each family member on top of all that is pretty expensive. Is this always the price of tickets?

I know if your son wins the lottery football tickets, that's one less ticket to pay.

If I recall correctly, they were $40 last year so yes they are a bit more expensive. A lot of money is being spent on improving the football program (better coaches/higher salaries, future stadium expansions, etc.) and the athletic dept. knows that there is a larger demand for football tickets now due to the excitement that Butch Davis has created, so the increase is probably a smart move business-wise.

tickets are more expensive this year because we actually have a semi-promising football program (knock wood!). this is actually the first time in years that all the season tickets have been sold out.
i'm on the colorguard so i get tickets for my family at half price..if your child by any chance is going to be on the colorguard or in marching band, the tickets will be discounted.
