Boys v. Girls

Ok. Last time my family and I went to go visit Chapel Hill, we ate at The Top of The Hill Restaurant, and our waiter told us that he thought that it was easier for males to get admitted v. females. What do you all think?

I think admissions are gender blind, hence why there is a higher percentage of females. More girls apply to college than boys these days.

That's probably true. There are just a ton of girls at CH. Sometimes my friends and I joke that we go to an all-girl's school. ; )

I don't think it's easier, more like the majors overall appeal more to girls than, say, engineering at NC state which is the opposite percentage wise.

you know, despite the ratio, i don't really ever feel like there are that many more girls than guys..i feel like at parties it's usually decently even (definitely NOT impossible to meet guys!), and the only time i ever really notice is in class.
