Am I out of my mind?

Or do i have a chance at Chapel Hill?

Conditions:
-No SATIIs as of now, but will be taking them next month: Lit, MathII, Bio (I predict the scores to be in the high 600s; nothing over 700)
-Personal statements will be decent
-Will apply for financial aid at all schools
-From a Washington public school
-Will be studying neuroscience/biology/pre-med/neurobiology
-Will apply BEFORE novemember 1

Stats:
GPA: 3.75 (unweighted)
Class rank: 35 out 401 (top 10%)
APs: Lit (2), Language, US (2), Physics, Bio, English Language
SAT: I took one last June and got 1530. During the summer I studied and improved a lot so i'll get a score in the range of 1800-2000. I'll get 1800 at the least.

Extracurricular/activities:
-Church Youth Group 4 years (President, VP, and secretary)
-Volunteer @ art museum from July 2009-present (2 hrs each Saturady)
-Volunteer @ elementary school (max 50hrs)
-Piano accompaniment for Sunday services (max. 20 hrs)/ Piano +10 yrs
-Varsity Tennis for last 3 years (Most Improved Award/Letters)
-World Affairs Club 2 years (Senior board-coordinate main event according to appropriate theme of the month e.g. poverty)
-National Honor Socitey 4 years - lots of assorted community services
-Key Club 2 years - more community servies
-Wheat Mission-2 years- interact with disabled children, prepare food and just make them smile.

Accumulated Hrs: 100+

Also, I'm an Asian female Minority chance? Because Chapel Hill is filled with Caucasians.

Besides finding your "Because Chapel Hill is filled with Caucasians" statement offensive, no I do not think you have a chance based on SAT (even the 1800 - 2000). Non-recruited OOS Students are competing for a very small number of available spaces.

I am not aware of any school that considers an Asian female as a URM. Get your SATs in the 2200 range and you might have a chance; 1800s won't cut it for OOS.

"Because Chapel Hill is filled with Caucasians."

You mean with Caucasians having higher SAT scores?

"Asian American enrollment has increased by nearly one third (from 1,016 in 2004 to 1,344 in 2009)." from the admissions website....

I feel like I am repeating myself in many of these threads, but here goes. Anything less than a 1800 is hard to get in if you are an NC resident, so for OSS it would be near impossible with your current 1530 SAT score. And as mentioned above, even if you pull your scores up to the 1800-2000 range, it would be low for an non-NC resident. Also just a word of advice, while I assume you did not mean to sound like you feel entitled to admission or offend anyone with your statement about whites at UNC, it came off that way, and if I were you I would avoid using that line or anything that resembles it in any of your essays, as no one likes someone who sounds like an entitled little brat, and it might hurt your shots at admission.

I apologize if I offended anyone but that wasn't my intention-I was just telling the truth.
But thanks for letting me know everyone, I just wanted to know what my chances were.

Pumpkins you might want to work on the way you apologize.

Apologizing with a disclaimer ("I was just telling the truth") is never acceptable and comes off as insincere or rude at best.

Example - Oh, did I step on your foot. I'm so sorry, but It's not my fault that you have feet.

How the hell is saying the school is full of caucasians offensive? You really have to stretch the definition of political incorrectness for that to offend anyone.

I dont know if you have a good shot. Your gpa is not very high for OOS, your SAT is pretty bad, and your ec's are typical.

I was not really offended by her statement, but I guess I could see how some people could be?
