Out of State student admission

Is it harder for an out-of-state student to gain admission when being compared to an in-state applicant with equal stats? Does the out-of-state student need to present higher stats than what is shown as "middle 50%" info to realistically expect to be admitted? If any out-of-state applicants would be willing to share their stats (GPA, SAT/ACT scores) and whether they got in or not, that would be great. I would also be curious to know if you applied Early Action or not. Thanks!

My daughter applied early action and she was deferred. She had a 3.6 gpa and a 1200/1840 SAT score. One more month wait to see if she gets in RD. Good luck! She is OOS also

My apologies I just realized that my last post somehow is "haha" in the subject which I didn't write. I would delete the post but I don't know how.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the responses! By any chance did anyone receive a merit scholarship? This would be another helpful bit of information. Thanks in advance!
