Chances possibly improved?

Are people's chances improved if they have a relative working in the vatican? (not me, just someone else from my school applying to ND same time as me has the relative) Am i going to have a hard time overcomming his "connections"?

Maybe slightly but I don't think much if anything. Heck, I have a friend whose father is a million dollar annual giver and he was rejected, so what does that tell you. By and large with any university people get in based upon their merits, and I think that is the way it is here. If you are qualified, you will be accepted, don't worry about anyone else! Good luck!

Not sure if you are trying to question me or not Rick, but trust me it does happen and I have seen it a few times actually. They were not retarted but they were not great students either...maybe 2.5-3.0 at a solid private high school. We let football players in with less! I am glad they don't pay that much attention to the money, assuming that I haven't just seen aberrations.

Probably not, unless that person were to write some sort of letter of reccommendation.
