Linens for Dorm Room?

I am trying to plan what my son will need for his dorm room. We received something in the mail from Notre Dame where we can purchase a package that includes sheets, towels, comforter, etc. The price seems pretty good plus it's free shipping and guaranteed until graduation. Has anyone purchased these packages? I hate to buy it sight (or touch!) unseen. Not sure I can match the price if I buy everything separately. The only drawback is they ship to your home so it will be a lot to pack for the trip from CT to South Bend.

Any insight or tips would be greatly appreciated!

My daughters roommate got the sheets through the schools brochure. They did it because it was easier for them. I thought they seemed rough but her roommate never complained about them! I guess it depends how picky you are about your sheets. Keep in mind there are plenty of stores near ND that you can buy sheets.
Bed Bath and Beyond allows you to pick out your items at your local store and pick your goods up at the store near ND. Just tell them when you will pick them up and they will be waiting for you.Don't forget to stock up on BBB coupons...expired coupons are accepted!
We are from MA so I know what you are saying about the distance. We actually shipped some boxes to the hotel we were staying in and flew into South Bend with one suitcase each....and a ton of kleenex!

^I would be very wary of only having a ton of Kleenex.
