Does not asking for FA help?

I'm just curious,

Does not asking for financial aid help when applying to ND?

ND operates on a need-blind admission: i.e. the admissions office and the financial aid office are completely different entities, so in theory it shouldn't effect it at all.

Ah, I just wondered because at the bottom of many applications under "For office use only", there is a little section that says, "FA: " And also, some apps ask you directly if you will ask for financial aid.

I really don't think it will hurt you; admissions says it won't and I believe them. There is a lot of financial aid to be had out here so I wouldn't worry. Good luck!

i agree with irish...the two depts financial aid and admin operate separately in terms of evaluating. Besides ND is need-only based financial aid, so I don't see how failing to fill out the FAFSA or filling it out wrong will help you get into ND, and it could just hurt you...
