everyone should post SAT scores out of 1600, since ND doesnt care about writing

ckmets, I have to somewhat disagree. The adm counselor we talked to often mentioned scores in terms of "2140" or such, which indicated to us that ND is considering all three SAT scores in some fashion, maybe not officially.

when i was at an info session, they said that they consider writing like an SAT2, so its definitely not as important

they said that because the writing scores they have seen to this point tend to be higher than average V/M scores, they're not weighing them as heavily. of course, if someone has an excellent score, i'm sure it can't hurt

I've got a 'funny' feeling St. X and St. I will both be very well represented in South Bend this fall.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any clue how many Xavier kids ended up applying to ND or how well X did in Early Action? Our rep told us about that ridiculous year you guys had a little while back where 52 applied and around 30 got in and went.

blue06, st x did pretty well in early action. i believe approximately 7-10 were admitted that way already. i dont remember specifically there ever being 30 attending from one class, but i think that many could potentially get in.

your class beat us out on the PSAT's (28-27), so i imagine st i's will have good representation as well.

not to distract the thread too much, but doesn't i's also have a couple freshmen playing football there next year too?
