Don't Give Up! I applied with less than beautiful stats EA and was accepted, if you get your scores up a little, and write a good essay, I'm sure you will be fine. You have awesome EC's, and a strong courseload. If you ever have any questions feel free to PM me or anything. =)

hey JadeRain05,
can u take a look at my stats and tell me what you think? i was told not to apply EA by my admissions ND counselor unless i got a 1400 on the SAT. So i am still sweating it and waiting till first week in April to find out RD. i have a 1360, 4.2 weighted gpa, SAT II score of 740 on math IIC. I am taking Calc CD, AP Eng Lit, AP Econ, AP Physics C, Internship...PE...
Varsity Lacrosse, team captain on JV, tons of community service. I am President of a club that supports a city wide underprivileged kids program. I was awarded volunteer of the yr. for the whole city for that...
also, i scored a 5 as a junior on the Calc AB test, and a 4 on Physics AB...
I have fantastic recommendations from my Calc and Physics teachers. Also from counselor. I think my essay is very solid...also, I attended summer program at ND, that i had to apply to with essay, transcripts, teacher and counselor recommendation...don't know if that helps...what do you think? thanks for any advice you can give...congrats on being in!

Definately keep in touch and let me know if you guys make it, I would love to actually meet you once you get out to South Bend. I know there were a ton of people that I talked to on these message boards when I applied that I wish I could have met but they just disappeared after they got in. Hopefully you guys will make it just so one day I can congratulate you on getting in! Good luck!

i think it's awesome you were so determined to get into ND, and you did it. You are Rudy! I applied RD, and this wait is torture. I'm from public school in so. calif. and i have a SAT 1360, tons of EC's, my school is a very rigorous school. i'm catholic. i'm in my 2nd yr. of AP Calc and Physics, also in AP econ, AP Eng Lit, Varsity Lacrosse, was team captain on JV, and my recommendations from Calc and Physics teacher were excellent. 4.2 weighted GPA. But i know i still need a miracle...If you are anywhere near the Grotto, pls light a candle for my, i would so appreciate it. i went to the summer experience this past summer and had the time of my life. i don't want to go anywhere else.

jhoopster, I would definately go regular if I were you, going EA will hurt your chances (learn from my mistake unless you have your heart set on EA).
Peter, I think you have an excellent chance from what you are saying. I should be by the grotto tomorrow and as long as I think of it I will light a candle for you. I have been meaning to go down there anyways, I love going down there (especially at night). Good luck, you will be in my prayers.
