Your GPA and class rank are a tad low for ND. Definetly get the test scores up to atleast low 30s ACT. Legacy is a nice attribute. EC's look average for ND. ND is for sure a reach for you (and for just about everyone else applying). Spend a lot of time on the essay. ND is my first choice too.
Good Luck!

...I don't know anyone here with less than a 30.... you would need a serious back door to get in. A lot of things look terrific (esp. the 5th gen legacy. That would almost guarantee admit w/ higher scores), but your numbers are just too low. However, I wouldn't say it's impossible, but unless you're a recruited athlete, admission is unlikely.

Ok, well I know some athletes... but of the people I know well enough to know what their standardized test scores were, the lowest among them is a 30, and that's one person. My roommate and I both got 34's, and most of my friends got 32's or higher.

I think that if anyone could have a 30 or lower and still get in, it would be a 5th gen legacy.

I think you have a good chance IF you get that test score up AND you write a great essay. Find a good test prep center and really study up for it. Get lots of help with your essay. I think with your EC's and 5th generation going for you, you have a chance. Don't give up~give it your best shot! And, mentioning somewhere that you'd be the first GIRL in the family might be helpful!!! Good luck!
