Other than her ACT score, your daughter's stats are wonderful! Did she get accepted into any other schools where she thinks she will be happy to attend? |

| for all of you who arent going. And anyones friends who arent.
You should all call admissions and tell them to let tim have you place.
Do they allow it, no.
But we could try... |

| My son was rejected also.
-Act: 31
-GPA: 3.9 uw
-Top 7%
-Excellent recs from teacher and counselor who know him well
-Essay could have been better but he insisted on doing it himself (with review by a teacher) - wrote about something he loved to do-I left it at that
-4 years football (2 year starter), basketball (2 year starter, sr capt), baseball (sr capt, 3 year starter)
-Officer in several clubs
-NHS
-DECA
-Well over 100 hours community service
-Held same part time job for 3 and half years
-Attended an info session in nearby community to meet the ND rep
-Non competitive public school with only 3 AP classes offered.
I had been preparing him for the rejection after reading posts on cc and realizing how competitive admisisons to ND really is.
He is happy with his second choice, got a great FA package and we are all excited to finally commit emotionally to one place. He will love it there.
This is our fourth of five (hanging on the eighth grader forever!) to head to college. I can honestly say they are all thriving and the first three all absolutely loved the colleges they attend(ed), which were/are all Catholic privates.
Good luck to everyone on cc wherever you go and remember it's just the beginning of the road, not the end of it! |

Totally understand your comment about "hanging on to your eight grader forever". As a mom of 7 kids (will have 2 kids in college in the fall), I am already at the point of saying how I wish time could stand still.... |

| Wait, what was Tim's result? Was he admitted?
And once again, congrats to everyone who got in. To those who didn't, go full speed ahead wherever you decide to attend, and remember that "this, too, shall pass." |

| Oh, nevermind, I didn't read Tims thread
As with AC, Tim, look at it this way: they let a good one get away. |
