Backup Plan?

I know people who are as in love with Notre Dame as I am don't want to think about the possibility of not getting in... but let's face it... not all of us will. I know that it feels like conceding defeat before we even get an answer, but, what is your backup plan in case everything does not go as hoped?

Mine- I have the Navy-Option 4-yr NROTC scholarship (pending medical qualification) assigned to the unit at Notre dame, and I've been accepted to Saint Mary's with their Presidential Scholarship ($54,000). So, if all goes south, I know I'll still be in South Bend and I'll be at Notre Dame for at least one class (ND allows St. Mary's students to be Midshipmen in the Irish Battalion). I'll at least be close enough to see the dome every day.

my backup plan as of right now is the honors program at michigan or colgate (because those are the only schools i have heard from so far...)

My backup is BC or NYU but NYU seems alittle pricey

i don't really have a back up plan.......

my parents didn't want me to leave the city at first so I could live at home, but i managed to convince them about ND, by getting other parents and stuff to talk to them.

but if they let me, then it's University of Texas Austin for me, otherwise i'd have to go to St Thomas University in Houston (=[)

eh, don't want to think about it, but:

Berkeley, UCLA-honors, Virginia, or Michigan

BC is too expensive :/

I'm doing Army ROTC...
otherwise tuition, room and board, and travel would make it way to much.

I plan on doing NROTC, but I'm also considering AF and the University of Dayton, Illinois, Naval Academy and Miami(OH)

I was thinking NROTC marines but i decided against it for several reasons, and now its too late to switch to navy. so Army it is. Plus I met some of the Army Cadre and they were all really cool and down to earth.

Irish... awww, please don't go Army! You do know that you can transfer the scholarship from Marine Option to Navy Option after you start school right? I don't remember how long after, but I know you can. And I really hope you're right about not needing my backup. Today was complete torture for me- I can't imagine what I'll be like at school on Monday... I just pray that no teacher decides to give us a welcome-back-from-spring-break pop quiz....

But, honestly, I can't say that the Army is bad. Granted, I am very much a Navy brat and the typical inter-service rivalry runs deep, but then again, my cousin is in the Army, so it can't be that bad. It's very respectable to want to serve, no matter what branch.

Yea... but that involves a year of marines program... Unless ND could hook me up. I emailed them but they haven't replied. Vandy said I couldn't switch now, but there might be a way at ND idk. Because I know some schools (ND and Marquette both mentioned it) have extra Army scholarships that you have to basically go through the school to get and it's abit harder to get than the national. So maybe ND has some for Navy.
