What do you hope to study? What are important to you in a college and in your college experience? Is having a religious environment important/a bummer?

both are great schools.

both are big sports schools and in the past USC has had more success in football - i hope this changes soon!

i have not visited USC but ND has a great campus and community feel.

I would say two things that can help make your decision are:

1) If you are ok with going to a catholic university and taking theology courses. religion is big at ND and you won't be forced into them at USC. If you don't like this, it may be a rough 4 years.

2) If you hate the snow, then USC is better. USC will have great weather year round, while ND only has good weather for the beginning and end of the school year.

both are great schools though.

I am a little worried about how small the surrounding area in Notre Dame is and also being a hispanic student and whether I will fit in.

i live in southern california, and SC does not compare at all to ND's academic standing/quality. USC is great for alumni connections in Southern California, but ND has great connections for the whole nation. Though, in southern cali, the show's run by USC grads, ND actually has a lot of power here at least in orange county.

Notre Dame's campus beats SC's any day of the week plus some. USC's campus kinda sucks in comparison to tell you the truth.

USC has a lot more people and social life is very much greek based.
USC has southern california weather, and LA (in a horrible neighborhood but you can drive around to nicer areas)

Sports are big at both

This is coming from someone who grew up a USC fan and all that, and got accepted there, but I chose ND.

SC can be better for some people and whichever you choose will be a great choice and the right one
