ND Advice

I will be attending in the fall, and was just wondering if any alumni or current students had any advice on the upcoming year like teachers, some clues about special events on campus, and any of the like.

Just wondering if there is anything (like superstitions - I know one is that enrolled students can't walk up the Golden Dome stairs, what football games are like, etc) that I should know before attending.

Thanks in advance.

If a guy and a girl kiss under the Lyons Arch, they are destined to get married.
If a guy and a girl walk around the lakes holding hands, they are destined to get married.

You need to rub Rockne's nose in the Rock for luck every time you pass by him.

High five Baby Jesus out behind CoMo.

The reflecting pool is actually not as deep as it looks. Don't dive.

In response to kevdude:

You have to walk around the lakes twice and you don't have to be holding hands

I have never rubbed Rockne's nose (I'll have to do that when I go work out tomorrow)

I also have never high fived baby Jesus.

The reflecting pool bottom is covered with a rubber mat, so go ahead and dive, I've done it!

I thought you had to walk around both lakes in one night?

I've never rubbed Rockne's nose either, but I have high fived baby Jesus.

And the reflecting pool is dyed blue. Watch out for that.

I love the blue dye tip. My mom walked around with blue fingers for a solid day because of that .
