I am one of those that think Obama should be allowed to speak but not receive a diploma from ND. Randall Terry is out of control and his tactics hurt the struggle to reduce/eliminate abortion in our society by destroying the possibilty of debate among intelligent people about which people have strongly differing feelings and beliefs. If my son was still at ND, despite how I feel about Obama and being pro-life, I would be very upset. I feel for the kids (and their families) whose graduation from this wonderful school will be marred by the circus this man has brought to town.

I was happy to hear that he had been arrested in violation of a no trespass order. Too bad they couldn't have kept him locked up longer.

I don't think Obama was the best speaker to choose/invite, but at the same time he's not going to get up there and talk about abortion, he'll talk about the same old "oh the young people are our future/you have great careers/you had a great education" stuff. That being said, I don't agree that he should be given an honorary diploma, and now that he is going to be a speaker I don't think people should ruin other's commencement ceremony--because for some, Obama being there is already ruining it--with pictures of aborted fetuses.
