Anytime is really a good time. You do not have to worry about crowds and everything is laid back for the most part during the Summer. July's weather can be a bit unpredictable but it's really not too bad.
I'd agree that anytime is the best, but you may want to wait until the summer school session officially starts (June 23) if you want to see what classes and lectures are like. Also keep in mind that during the summer many non-students stay in the dorms, so the atmosphere is largely different than what it is like during the school year.
I can tell you that I just visited this week and it was the best tour and info I've gotten from a college. The school was quite busy with some sort of sports camp, but the admissions office and financial office were open. I signed up for a tour and the tour guides gave a great overview of the school from a student perspective. I also talked a someone ahead of time in the engineering department and was able to meet with a department dean.
So I'd say now is a great time to go
Thanks, for the responses. Im thinking of waiting until the fall to go, since im only a few hours away and I'd like to go during the school year to get a better feel of the school.
