schedules

Anyone having difficulty accessing their schedule on InsideND? Schedules are supposed to be available, but when clicking on Schedule, it just says Page Not Enabled.

the schedules have not been released yet. They were supposed to be released today, so they still might be later in the day, but some think that we might have to wait for Monday.

the schedules are up on insideND

i just had a quick question....i signed up for the basic Chemistry class, but want to take Calculus 3. I checked online and there are like 22 openings total that would fit into my schedule. is it likely that i can make this change (i figured not too many kids wnat to take Calc 3 so it wouldn't be that bad). also is this a good idea?

architecture. i am not sure between architecture and engineering, but am heavily leaning on architecture. i just really like math (i really pick it up quick and have been on the math team, and would like to just have one or two more classes in it).

If you were leaning towards engineering I would definitely tell you to take Calc III now. Also, if you were to choose engineering you would take a chemistry class freshman year.

As far as Architecture goes I am uncertain. I do not know what kind of math requirement architecture students must meet. Bottom line, if you just want to take Calc III because you are passionate about it then I would tell you to go for it regardless.

Yeah you should have no problem because everyone has already registered. So whatever spots are left (I count 27 on the class search page) are bonus for you. I would send your adviser an e-mail now and let him/her know what you are planning. If you get the ball rolling soon enough you may not have to deal with extra paper work.

schedule changes -- only when you get there?

My son got his schedule, and he needs to have some changes made. For instance, he requested a language, but he didn't get it, and that's concerning because he wants to spend fall semester junior year abroad and would like his language requirement done by then. My oldest son just graduated from ND, so we know the ropes a bit on this.

What is a bit irritating is that we read that one can't make schedule changes until you get out to ND for freshman orientation. That's gonna mean quite a scramble for him, not to mention that he'll have to get books for these new courses (assuming he gets them) possibly after classes start. We, his parents, would rather leave ND after orientation knowing he's set with his courses and books, but that's not likely to happen. His advisor is also out of the office until next week, which is also a bit annoying.

I know you'd rather have everything sorted out before you leave, but you need to trust in the ND system that things will get worked out.

under insideND student academic tab, there is a link called class search. check and see what language classes are available if any - this makes you look more informed if you email the advisor saying that you know you can't do anything now, but that class WXYZ 12345-03 has openings and fits into his schedule. This will help save the advisor time and make him/her happier.
