story of my life...

so this is sort of my mock suicidal note coz I dont have the guts lol 2 suicide (no seriously ppl it was a joke).
So I failed penn, I failed myself, I failed my family, got a 1920 (610 reading,660 math,650 writing) once and got a 2010 on october sat (680 reading, 670 math, 660 writing).

So should i just throw my ED app in the bin(already signed the ED agreement) or just try my luck??? hoping to get above 750 in math 2 n literature with practice, but with such scores....I wanna curl up and die.

Don't joke about Suicide! And its not the end of the world. You never know how Penn will react to your application. They could love you. Don't just throw away your app because you THINK you won't get in. The only for sure way you won't get into Penn is if you don't apply. Instead of curling up go study more or do something that'll make your app stand out. Just go for it!
(I don't think I'll get into Columbia but there's no harm in me applying. 75 dollars for a chance to get into a top school seems cheap to me) good luck

Academics aren't everything! They're nice to look at, yes, but a 2010 isn't horrible.

You need to stop reading scores from CC. My DS got in with a 1960 SAT, 31 ACT. Didn't take the SATII in math.

If scores were everything, Penn would be filled with 23xx.

I FULLY agree with capenn15. CC tends to be full of people with high scores. Do not worry because you can still be a contender. What you have to do now is to make sure that your essays (Short Answer one for your activities, Common App and Penn Supplement) and teacher recommendations are all outstanding.

Still, your chances will depend on the school that you are applying to.

Stop crying and apply. The worst they can do is reject you and you wind up going somewhere else. In China, they would disown you and in many other parts of the world you would be tested on how well you could hunt, not how well you did on a test. Calm down and send the app, it's not the end of the world.
