What's a BA in Computer Science...?

I was interested in possibly picking up a dual degree with CAS and SEAS to major in econ in the college and comp sci from SEAS, but the department website shows that one can actually double major in comp sci as a college student without dual degreeing by taking only 12 of CIS's classes. The site emphasizes that doing so does not mean that I'll be given two diplomas upon graduation, but one.

This obviously means that I'll be graduating with one BA from the college...so if I decide to do this, would I be getting a bachelor of arts in comp sci? lol...

Can anyone say that they know of someone or have taken this track? Do you think I'll come out of it with actual knowledge of comp sci and increased job prospects, or do you think it'll just be a sure-fire way to botch my GPA by taking 12 engineering courses for nothing?

EDIT: Also, none of the 12 courses seem to require math unless I'm wrong...can I get away with doing this by only taking up to Math 115?

Actually, nevermind, CAS has the ability to award BS degrees, right? (as with bio, chem, and physics) So it would probably be a BS in comp sci?
