Chance for SEAS or CAS?

I go to a very competitive school so scores and EC's like mine are commonplace, out of a class of 400 kids on average my school sends 70 to Berkeley every year (I am in California). I plan on majoring in bioengineering from SEAS or biochemistry from CAS. Would applying early help me?

Profile:
Male/Chinese/Middle-Income
4.0 unweighted/4.5 weighted (grades 9-11)
2390 SAT (1 try, 790CR, 800WR, 800Math)
800 Math2
800 Chem
800 Biology

AP Chem 5
AP CalcBC 5
AP Bio 5
AP Stats 5
AP Lang/Comp 5

9th: Freshman Lit, Algebra2/Trig, Biology, Japanese 2, B Choir, JAVA, PE
10th: World Lit, World History, AP Calc BC, Chem H (took AP Chem test from self study), Japanese 3, Concert Choir, PE
11th: APLAC, US History (not AP), AP Stats, Japanese 4H, AP Bio, Concert Choir
12th (courses I'm planning to take): European Lit, APGov/Econ, AP Physics, AP Japanese, Concert Choir, Multivariable Calculus (from community college)

ECs:
Currently interning at UCSF dermatology department (I've had a bunch of skin issues myself so it's something I'm really interested in). I get to work directly with mice which most high school research programs don't really involve. I probably won't be able to get published. I guess something unique is that I have a 4 hour round trip commute to UCSF so I am actually living in the city on my own for 2 months (probably mention this in my essay or smth).

Any suggestions as to what I can do to increase my chances into SEAS or CAS as college apps approach is much appreciated.

Not a very rigorous schedule and avg ECs. However, I think the SAT scores and a good essay will cover it. ED it and you should be in.
