I was just curious as to where students take showers at Fisher. Are there private showers or bathrooms for those with physical disability at Fisher? with something like grab bars?

I'm curious as well. How nice and clean are the showers? It looks like there's only one washroom per floor. Does that make it co-ed?

In Fisher, each section in the house is connected to another section -- 2 sections = 2 bathrooms. For example, Brooks and Leidy are connected (they are essentially the same hall with 2 different entrances). At the beginning of the year, the hall will decide if they'd like the bathrooms to be co-ed or single sex.

The Quad seems to not be very disability-friendly. A lot of stairs and steps to get around (I always told my friends it would be a NIGHTMARE to get around on crutches, let alone a wheelchair, since I used a walking frame for some time in HS), and the showers don't seem particularly disability-friendly.

The only kid on a wheelchair that I knew at Penn lived at KC, it seemed to be the most accessible of the bunch in terms of typically freshman-oriented housing.

If I remember correctly you live in Brooks right? Class of '28 is at the end of Fisher and the next adjoining hall is Brooks, so shouldn't it be Class of '28 and Brooks decide? Or am I totally off?

I live in Brooks, that is correct. If you look at the floor plans, you should be able to see which side of the hallway is open. For Brooks, the diagram shows that it connects to Leidy on one side and closes off on the other. Maybe Class of '28 connects to Speakman of Ware. Who are you, by the way? And from the room layout I see, my hall seems to be joined with Brooks (I'm on the 5th floor). I wish we were joined with Speakerman though!
