Minimum Transfer GPA for Consideration (Engineering)

I am going to attend Villanova this August for engineering. Just to keep my options open, I was wondering what would be the minimum GPA to be considered for UPenn engineering.

I saw on the website that it was 3.0, but I assume that is for internal transfers only and not for people in other schools.

Also, how does UPenn weigh in grade deflation?

I transferred from Villanova to Upenn...I really implore you to give VU a shot because you will make the most of it that way. I am sorry that I cant answer your questions because I don't know the answers but I just felt it was necessary to post considering I did the same thing you are planning on doing.

from personal experince I can shed some light on what helped me get ito penn comingfrom VU. I had a really high GPA at VU but I bet Upenn would thoughtfully look through your app and give you a decent shot if you had above a 3.7...Just don't think about transferring now and join a lot of clubs and activities at VU and get a strong GPA and you will stand a good shot if you still wish to transfer come January. Also Penns engineering has a higher accept rate than CAS and Wharton so that is also going for you.

Thanks knight2011! I am definitely going to enter Villanova with open arms... I just want to give myself options.

And yeah I saw that UPenn Engineering has a higher acceptance rate so that will help a little.
