I'm so conflicted. I have under a week to decide if I want to significantly reduce my acceptance chances by applying to Wharton or if I want to go with a less desired major but a better chance of getting in by going CAS.

Follow your heart man! If wharton is where you wanna go, then don't waste your energy applying to another school.

If you still haven't decided, I don't think ED is the best option for you.

Don't use acceptance rates to justify where you're going to apply - Wharton and CAS are different in that they stress different qualities. Wharton wants strong leadership , mathematical abilities and a genuine interest in business. If you can display these three qualities effectively, I think Wharton is a very possible option.
