If I have a 800 on writing for the first 2 SATs but average reading and maths, and in Oct. I got 740 on CR and 800 on Maths, but I also got a 670 on writing. Would that hurt my SAT scores in general or Penn will just take the best composite: 2340? Thanks!

when will decisions come out, traditional dec 15th or 9th like last year?

^ As I recall, the tradition for the last few (at least two) years has been to release early decisions on or around the second Friday in December (e.g., December 9, 2011), and not around the 15th. No reason to think that won't be the case this year.

Dec 1 is a Saturday; consequently, the second Friday in December 2012 is the 14th.
