Huntsman Program/ Wharton

Hello, I'm currently a high school senior and absolutely love the huntsman program. I plan to visit the school in October. However, I've made sure not to get my hopes high and basically expect to get rejected due to its 2.5% admittance rate. But regardless of my chances I'd like to put forth the best application possible. I have a 4.0 GPA with plenty of APs, great recommendations, 34 ACT + 2100 SAT (no studying, plan to retake), 790 math II, 780 world history, as well as plenty of ECs including political summer institutes as well as

6 internships with campaigns and political firms,
9th place nationals at FBLA, international finalist in DECA, president of future investors of America,
President of young entrepreneurs club,
president of young democrats,
VP of Math HS
VP of Lions international
Varsity/JV lacrosse for 4 yrs
Started a volunteer organization through my cultural community
+ others
PS I plan to take the Spanish Sat II in November w listening, trying to get 700+

1. I'd like to know how I stack up as of now.
2. I've come up with a great common app essay but am having a harder time with the penn supplements. I really love the school and program but am having trouble conveying this.
3. The huntsman essay: really can't think of any good topics simply because I'm not exactly sure what theyre looking for.
4. Suggestions for what I should put as my backup, CAS or Wharton. I'd definitely want to atten Wharton but would I be better off applying directly or transferring in.

I think you have a decent shot. All your internships definitely give you a leg up. Any new SAT scores?

Internal transfers to Wharton are extremely difficult. If you want Wharton, then apply to Wharton. Don't count on being able to transfer.

Hey wordworker, I've heard that, and that seems like the general consensus. However I also know that 100 kids transferred into Wharton last year. With such a high number I'm thinking that this opinion could just be something fabricated by upenn/Wharton to discourage the back door route.
